What I Got For Christmas!

Hey everyone! Today I thought I would show you my 'Top 5' gifts that I received this Christmas. I was going to do a big Christmas Haul showing everything but I figured that would be far too long and probably quite boring. So I thought featuring my main gifts plus a few of my favourites would be a little more interesting for you guys. I was really excited to do this and I hope nobody takes it the wrong way. I am very grateful and happy with everything that I received. I'm posting this because I personally think it's fun to see what other people get for Christmas and I really don't want it to come across as bragging. Disclaimer over, now let's get started..

iPad mini
Okay, so this was my big present from my parents. I didn't really ask for anything so my dad said he would get me a surprise. Ahh I LOVE it! It can literally do anything and it has basically been my life for the past few days. The first thing that I noticed is that it is incredibly lightweight, it actually feels lighter than my iPhone, it must have something to do with the new charger. This is honestly one of the most amazing gifts I have ever gotten and I would highly recommend it to anyone on the hunt for a tablet.

UGG Australia Classic Short Black Boots
I have wanted a pair of real Uggs for years now. I don't know how many pairs of the cheap ones I have gone through. They would last a few weeks before the sole and/or the heel would become worn down and tear. So I would end up having to buy multiple pairs each winter. Now it is a completely different story. It's like walking on clouds! I am very impressed by how soft, cosy and high quality these boots are. I can tell that I am going to get years and years of wear out of them. I actually find myself looking forward to the chilly days when I can wear them (sad, I know).

bareMinerals Customizable 8-Piece Starter Kit
In mid December my mum got me a consultation at the Bare Minerals Counter. I picked out this Starter Kit which I wasn't allowed to open until Christmas. The lady matched me with the Matte Foundation in the shade C10 Fair and popped it into the kit. The kit includes the Foundation of your choice, the Original Mineral Veil Setting Powder, the Warmth All-Over Bronzer, a Full Flawless Face Brush, a Flawless Application Face Brush, a Maximum Coverage Concealer Brush, a Prime Time Foundation Primer plus a Get Started Leaflet and DVD. I tried the products out on Christmas Day and so far I am loving it.

Sephora Goodies
My Aunt from France came over and brought me a bunch of Sephora goodies. It was really exciting because we don't have Sephora in the UK. The first thing was this Sephora Eye Makeup Kit labelled as 'The essentials for a hypnotizing look'. It comes with an Ultra Black Outrageous Volume Mascara, a Silver Glitter Liquid Eyeliner and a Black Eyeliner Pencil. She said it was a best seller back in France so I am really excited to try this kit out, especially the mascara! She also picked me out a set of Sephora nail files and a gorgeous Sephora nail polish. This is such an amazing colour! It is one of the Sephora Collection Nail Polish & Top Coats in the shade Purple Jewelry. You can see the beautiful colours better in the first picture.

Money
I also received money from various people. I will probably end up spending it soon. So if you guys would like to see a January Sales Haul please let me know in a comment bellow.

Excuse my rambling again! If you got this far post a comment telling me your favourite gift that you received or if you have a post like this leave the link bellow because I would love to read it!
Have a great weekend!♥
Lots of love,

NOTD: Winter Wonderland!!

Hey everyone! I hope you all had a lovely Christmas!♥
Today while painting my nails, I discovered this really pretty combination. I love it so much that I though I'd better quickly blog about it so here it goes. The colours some how remind me of a Winter Wonderland like the outside of Santa's Grotto.

I used my Barry M Nail Paint in 317 Blue Moon and Rimmel Lasting Finish Nail Polish in 500 Disco Ball along with my usual base and top coat. I applied two coats of Blue Moon which is a really pretty pale powdery blue. I then applied one coat of Disco Ball which is a stunning glitter polish made up of tiny silver glitters and larger blue and purple glitters.

Let me know what you think about this combination and what's on your nails right now. Also feel free to leave me any other questions or comments and I will be sure to get back to you as soon as I can ♥
Have a wonderful day!
Lots of love,

Winter 2012: Fashion Haul!

Hello everyone, Happy Christmas Eve!
Today I am going to be showing you all the clothing and accessories that I have purchased this season. This is definitely more of a collective haul and I have a feeling this is going to be quite a long post so let's get straight in to it..
Primark - £5
I have been wanting a peter pan collar for the longest time and I was even thinking about ordering one from Etsy. I certainly didn't expect to find one in Primark so I was over the moon when I saw this. It has really pretty pearl and diamante detailing and I think it looks so cute!

Primark -£10
Primark -£6
Next thing is this studded camouflage shirt from Primark. Studs and camouflage are everywhere this season so I had to pick it up. I got one of the black Guns 'n' Roses tops from Primark as well.

Primark -£12
I fell in love with these shorts as soon as I saw them. The American flag print is so cool and I just had to get them. I don't think I will get much wear out of them at this time of year but I could always wear them with tights or leggings.

Internacionale -£12.99
Next I went to Internacionale and picked up one of their skater skirts in this lovely plum colour.
Internatcionale -£14.99
Then I got this thick knit jumper. It is so warm and cosy and I really like how versatile the tan colour is.

Internacionale -£22.99
I also picked up this black blazer with three quarter length sleeves. I really like the design of the sleeves because it makes it more casual. I think it really adds something to an outfit.

Hollister
After that, I popped into Hollister and found this light waterproof jacket. It is really handy to keep something like this in your bag incase you get caught in the rain.

Hollister -£15.90
Hollister -£15.90
While I was there I saw they had an amazing sale on. I got this really cute blue checked shirt that was reduced from £40 to only £15.90. I also got this basic white boyfriend cardigan. I actually really needed a white cardigan and this was als £15.90. I think they were both such an amazing deals because they were about the same price as places like H&M.

New Look -£12.99
Then I picked up this small, cross body, satchel bag from New Look. It will make a great weekend bag for days when I don't need to carry a lot. I love the design and colours. I think it is gorgeous and so vintage looking.

Tesco -£2.50
I think these are just the coolest thing ever. They look like regular gloves but as you can see the thumb and index finger are grey at the tip. This is because they are made of a special material that works perfectly on touchscreens. Anyone with a touchscreen phone will know the dilemma you need to go through everyday in the winter when you try to use your phone with regular gloves on. These were only £2.50 in Tesco and they also came in black.

Primark -£2
Next I got this cute bobble hat from Primark. It is a really nice burgundy colour with sparkly pinkish specks through it.

H&M -£7.99
Tartan scarves have been everywhere this season so I picked up this cute red one from H&M. It is super soft and cozy and they had them in loads of colours. So I would really recommend H&M if you're looking for a tartan scarf.

Topshop -£1.50 & £2.50
I LOVE Topshop jewellery and I was so happy to find two gorgeous sets of earrings in their amazing sale. The first is a pair of 'fake stretcher' spike earrings. I'm not usually a massive fan of stretchers but I think these are so edgy and just look really cool. They were reduced from £7.50 to only £1.50! The second set has three different gold ear cuffs. I don't know how well you can see them but there is one is in the shape of a love heart, one has a pearl dangling from it and the last one is a triple cuff. These were also reduced from  £7.50 but to £2.50.

Internacionale -£2.99 (each)
Last but not least, are these two sets of bracelets. The first is a really pretty single bracelet made up of multicoloured crosses linked together. The second is a two pack of rose gold spiked bracelets. Spikes in general have been really on trend this season and I have seen loads of people with gold spiked bracelets. This was the first time I had seen rose gold spikes so I was really excited to pick this up.

Sorry for my rambling but if you got this far please leave me a comment bellow telling me your favourite thing from the haul or anything you have purchased recently. Also feel free to leave me any other questions or comments and I will be sure to get back to you as soon as I can ♥
Finally, I want to wish all you lovely people a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!! I hope you have a wonderful, relaxing day spent with your loved ones and I hope Santa is good to you!
Lots of love,

Last Minute Christmas Gift Ideas Under £20!!

Hello again!♥
Today I have created a (rather late) christmas gift guide. It is mainly aimed at girls but some of the things could be unisex. Everything I have included is £20 or less so hopefully it will give you a few last minute gift or stocking filler ideas for someone special.

1. Cute Mugs
Let's be honest, you can't really go wrong with mugs because everybody uses them. This moustache one is from Urban Outfitters. They have loads of funny and adorable mugs at £9 each or 2 for £15.

2. Nail Polish Set
Topshop do some really nice sets of 3 mini nail polishes. These are £13 a set and the nail polishes are such good quality.

3. 2013 Calendar
You can get a calendar of just about anything these days from cats to celebrities to TV shows, you name it. I think a calendar of someone's favourite thing would make a really thoughtful gift. I choose the One Direction one as an example which you can get at HMV for a fiver.

4. Liz Earle Limited Edition Cleanse & Polish Kit
I am sure any girl that is in to beauty would be over the moon to get this set. The kit comes in a festive container with a 150ml bottle of the cleanser and 2 muslin cloths. It retails at £19.75 in John Lewis.

5. LUSH Lip Scrub
Chapped lips are a problem for all of us at this time of year so I think any girl would appreciate one of these lip scrubs. This one is in the popcorn flavour and is available at LUSH stores for £5.25.

6. Taylor Swift Wonderstruck EDP Gift Set
This would be the perfect gift for any Taylor Swift fan. It comes with a full sized 30ml perfume, a mini 5ml for your handbag and a 50ml scented body lotion. All for only £20 at Boots! The scent is so gorgeous that I am actually asking for one myself, tehe!

Have fun with your last minute shopping and I hope this gave you some inspiration! Feel free to leave me any questions or comments down bellow and I will get back to you as soon as I can ♥
Have yourself a merry little Christmas!!

Lots of love,
MissJammyxo

Winter 2012: Nail Polish Favourites!

How are you all? I'm really sorry I have been absent over the past month or so but I am glad to be back and I can guarantee you will be hearing a lot more from me over the next couple of weeks.
Anywho, today I am going to be sharing my 'must have' nail polishes for this season. I was thinking about doing a christmassy nail art tutorial using some of these colours too so you guys can let me know down bellow if you would like to see that. So in no particular order here they are..

17 Magnetized Nail Polish in Teal

These magnetic nail polishes have been really popular since they were released last year. I was never the biggest fan of shatter polishes but I am in love with the magnetic effect. I think this shade in particular is great for this time of year.

Accessorize Nail Polish in Pink Spice
In my mind this nail polish just screams christmas! It has an amazing holographic effect that makes the colour change depending on what angle the light is hitting it at. It was quite difficult to capture on camera but it goes from a deep shimmery red to a gorgeous bronzey colour.

Revlon Charlie Nail Enamel in Essence

A basic gold nail polish is essential for this time of year. There's not much to say but it's festive and incredibly pretty.

Models Own Headkandi Nail Polish in Ibiza Mix

For some reason this nail polish reminds me of fireworks. I think it would be perfect for something like a New Year's Eve Party. As it is a glitter nail polish it wouldn't be opaque on its own so I have swatched it on top of a plain black nail polish to show the full effect.

Barry M Nail Paint in Dusy Mauve

This is another interesting one. From a far it looks like a dusky brownish grey but up close you can see it actually has a pretty purple shimmer to it.

Here they are all together..

Let me know what your favourite nail polishes are  for this time of year in a comment bellow. Also feel free to leave me any questions and I will be sure to get back to you as soon as I can ♥

That's all folks, thanks for reading! ;)
Lots of love,

Collective Drugstore Beauty Haul!!

Hi girls! So I know it has been quite a while since I have posted a beauty haul, however over the last couple of weeks I have accumulated some interesting beauty bits and pieces worth sharing with you all. I have put them in order of nails, hair, skincare and finally makeup products, so make sure you keep reading to the end!
Models Own Hedkandi Nail Polish (£5 each)
First, I had a look at the models own nail polish stand when I saw there was a buy one get one half price offer. I had heard great things about their polishes but I had never really looked at them before because I thought they were a bit overpriced. They have so many gorgeous, unique colours and I wish I had chosen more. Anyway I decided on this very bright orange called 'Beach Party' which obviously more of a summery colour but I think it will be perfect for Halloween. I also picked up 'Ibiza Mix' which is a gorgeous black polish packed with multicoloured chunky glitters. It is very eye-catching and I think it would look stunning on a night out.

Broadway imPRESS Nails (£8.99)
I never used to wear fake nails but recently I have been a bit obsessed with them. When I heard about the imPRESS 'press-on manicure' nails I thought they looked really interesting. They are just like regular fake nails except they don't require any glue. Each nail has a sticky layer on the back which you simply peel off, press on and you are good to go. However they are considerably pricey at £9 a pack, which is why I went for one of their exclusive designs rather than an ordinary colour. I choose this bright floral design called 'TGIF'. I can't wait until I have an excuse to wear them. I must add that I am in love with the cute nail polish bottle style of packaging.

Boots Clear False Nails with Glue 200 Pack (£8.50)
As I said, I have been really into fake nails at the moment, so I picked up a pack of the Boots 200 clear nails. I wouldn't exactly call them clear, they seem to be more of a sheer whiteish-yellow colour so they would look weird worn on their own. However, they look absolutely gorgeous painted. These nails are such great quality, they are flawless but still very natural looking. The length is dead on, not too long but not short either and they can be filed down just like natural nails. The glue that they come with is much  better than I expected and actually lasts so long. Every time I have worn these I have been flooded with compliments and questions about if I got my nails done. I think this was such a bargain, £8 for 200 great quality nails, in 9 different sizes and an amazing glue. I never thought you could buy 200 of anything for £8!

Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover (£4.99)
The last nail product that I bought was the Bourjois Magic 1 Second Nail Polish Remover. A LOT of people have been raving about this. It is supposed to have 'magical powers' which remove your nail polish instantly by simply dipping your finger in it. The idea does work but definitely not in 1 second, it takes me at least a good 10 seconds of twisting to complete each nail. But other than the outrageous 1 second claim, I do like this product and I love the bright pink packaging!

L'Oreal No Sulphates EverStrong Shampoo & Conditioner  (£5.99 each)
L'Oreal No Sulphates EverSleek Heat Protection Smoothing Mist (£6.99)
Next, I had a look at some hair products from L'Oreals No Sulphates line. I did some research beforehand and I learned that pretty much all other hair products are full of silicons and other sulphates that totally dry out and damage your hair. The only reason why so many brands are using these chemicals is that they are cheap, which sort of justifies the price of these. I picked up a shampoo and conditioner from the green everstrong range which is designed for over-processed, fragile, brittle hair. Then I figured if I wanted to go completely sulphate free I would pick a heat protectant spray too. I got this one from the orange eversleek range made for overworked, coarse, frizzy hair.

Batiste Dry Shampoo Tropical 400ml (£4.99)
Batiste Dry Shampoo Cherry 200ml (£2.50)
Obviously I had to stock up on my trusty Batiste Dry Shampoo. I picked up a can of the new cherry scent which ended up being quite light and not as sweet as I had hoped for. Then I saw that they had started doing double sized 400ml cans and I got a bit overexcited. I knew that they did mini sizes but I had no idea that they did a bigger sizes. I got one in tropical which is my favourite scent. You can see in the picture above how huge it actually is in comparison to the regular sized cherry bottle.

Balmi Coconut Lip Balm (£4.99)
Then I picked up a Balmi Lipbalm in the coconut flavour. These are basically exact dupes for the EOS Lipbalms which aren't available in the UK. The egg shape is really cute and it also comes with handy keychain.

Simple Kind To Skin Hydrating Light Moisturiser (£3.79)
Tanya Burr(Pixi2woo) actually recommended this in one of her skincare videos. I was looking for a new moisturiser anyway so I decided to try this one out and it has worked really well for me so far.

Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Scrub (£8.00)
I also picked up the Soap&Glory Sugar Crush body scrub. I have to start by saying it smells AMAZING! The scent is very sweet and fruity with a hint of almond oil. The consistency is quite thick with ground sugar crystals all the way through it and some less frequent larger, dark coloured, beads. I love how it leaves your skin irresistibly soft, smooth and moisturised. All though, I thought it was rather expensive for a drugstore body scrub.

Revlon PhotoReady Cream Blush (£7.99)
The first makeup item that I picked up was one of the new Revlon PhotoReady Cream Blushes. They are only available in three shades right now and I choose '200 Flushed'. I know the colour looks very bright and intimidating but when you blend it in, it is actually just a pretty flush of pink, like the name suggests. It comes in such gorgeous packaging- a sleek glass container with a glossy black lid. The one thing that I didn't particularly like was the fact that it is so creamy and lightweight, making it impossible to apply with a brush. You can still easily apply it with your fingers but I always prefer using brushes, maybe it's just me?

L'Oreal Nude Magique BB Cream (£9.99)
This is such an interesting product. Most BB Creams are just glorified tinted moisturisers but this is different from anything I have ever seen before. It claims to be the first self-adjusting BB Cream with 'Smart Pigment Capsules' that transform on contact with skin. The product comes out as a thin greyish cream containing beads similar to a facial scrub. As soon as you start blending it in, it changes from grey to the colour of your skin, right before your eyes. I think everyone should run down to Boots and try it out on the back of your hand just to see how cool it is. It also has a nice dewy finish and excellent coverage. It comes in two shades- light and medium. I picked up the light shade which is in fact slightly dark for my pale skin but I can live with it.

Collection 2000 Cream Puff Moisturising Lip Cream (£2.99)
Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer (£4.19)
Next, I stopped at the Collection 2000 stand. I needed a new tube of their Lasting Perfection Concealer which is practically everyone's favourite drugstore concealer. I also picked up a Cream Puff Moisturising Lip Cream in the shade 'Cotton Candy'(which is exactly what it tastes like). This is quite a strange product, it looks like a lipgloss but it is neither a lipgloss or a lipstick, it actually comes out as more of cream. They are apparently very similar to the NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams which are hard to find in the UK.

Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal (£3.99)
Last but not least, I picked up this Rimmel eyeliner pencil in '005 Nude'. When I saw this it was one of those 'Where have you been all my life?' moments. I always wanted to try a flesh toned eyeliner pencil and I never expected to find one in a drugstore. When you apply a light coloured eyeliner on to your waterliner it really brightens up your eyes but sometimes white can look a bit harsh so a flesh toned colour is a lot more natural. The eyeliner itself is actually very creamy and long lasting.

That's it! I really hope you enjoyed this haul and maybe discovered something new! Feel free to leave me any questions or comments bellow and I will get back to you as soon as I can ♥
Have a great Halloween!!

Thanks for reading :')

What I'm Loving: September 2012!!

Hey everyone! Long time, no post ;)
I have to apologise, I hate to make excuses but life got in the way. With school starting up and everything, I have had A LOT of extra work and pretty much zero freetime. I guess that blogging must have slipped to the bottom of my subconscious 'priority list'. I like to keep my posts very detailed so I don't think I will be capable of more than a couple per month at the moment, but you know what they say, quality over quantity, right? Anyways don't fret as I have some exciting posts planned(listed to the right). Nevertheless today I am back with a slightly early September favourites for you all. I don't have too many favourites this month but I am only including products that I absolutely love.

Clean&Clear Morning Energy Skin Brightening Daily Facial Scrub (£3.99)
This is an oil-free exfoliating facial scrub with bursting beads! It is made with lemon and papaya extracts giving it a really refreshing tropical/citrus scent. I have been using it most mornings to remove any dirt or dead skin and to totally brighten up my face. It says it is gentle enough to be used everyday but I wouldn't recommend using any kind of exfoliant every single day.
Pros
  • Leaves your skin extremely brighter, smoother and just glowing!
  • Gives you a much nicer base for applying makeup (no more dry patches, woop! woop!)
  • Very refreshing and really helps ‘wake your skin up’ - Ideal for mornings!
  • Yummy fragrance.
  • Comes in a cute little squeezy tube.
  • Cheap and widely available.
Cons
  • I don't think it is gentle enough for everyday.
Rating out of 10: 9

Soap&Glory Kick Ass Concealer (£10)
I LOVE this product! It has to be the best drugstore concealer out there. I'm not going to go in to too much detail as I actually have a full comparison review on it which I will link right here.
Pros
  • Includes a mirror, two shades of concealer, a setting powder and a powder puff.
  • The concealer is very creamy and blends like a dream.
  • Gives excellent coverage.
  • The translucent setting powder is great quality.
  • It is a real bargain for everything that you get.
 Cons
  • The packaging is a bit fiddly.
Rating out of 10: 9

Benefit They're Real Mascara (£18.50)
This mascara comes with some pretty amazing claims: dramatic length & volume, base-to-tip curl, visible lift, long wearing results. Along with all the hype I already had huge expectations for it. Luckily it did not let me down, it is one of the best mascaras I have ever used! I often find mascaras with a really nice brush and a rubbish formula or a really nice formula and a rubbish brush but this is the best of both worlds. Not only does it have a great brush, it also has an excellent, jet-black, seriously long-lasting formula. The biggest problem I have is that it is a massive pain to get it off at the end of the day.
Pros
  • The brush allows you to coat, lift and separate every single lash.
  • One sweep instantly curls and lengthens the lashes.
  • Jet-black, glossy finnish.
  • Definitely won't flake or budge throughout the day.
Cons
  • The unique shape of the brush takes some getting used to.
  • It starts to clump after the first or second coat.
  • It is extremely difficult to remove.
Rating out of 10: 8.5

Elegant Touch Clear Brush On Nail Glue (£3.10)
I have never really been a fake nails kind of girl but recently I have gotten really into them. A decent nail glue is probably the most important part and this is the perfect one. It comes in a little bottle with a brush, just like a nail polish, making it so quick and simple to use. With a good set of nails it can last me anything up to a week. You can even carry it around in your bag with peace of mind.
Pros
  • Very easy to use.
  • Dries in seconds.
  • The glue applies clear.
  • Strong, long-lasting hold.
  • Secure and portable bottle.
Rating out of 10: 10

Babyliss Curling Wand (£24.99)
I recieved this as a gift a few months back and ever since I have been using it practically nonstop. It is basically a long conical barrel with no clamp. You can just wrap a section of hair around it, hold it for a few seconds and voila!
Pros
  • Simple to use.
  • The wand allows you to create your desired tight or loose style of curls.
  • With hairspray the curls can even last for two days.
  • 5 heat settings(up to 210C)
  • Includes a heat resistant glove, cool tip and safety stand.
Rating out of 10: 10

Hollister Malibu Beach Body Mist (£12)
This is a great frangrance to keep in your bag if you are on the go. It contains aloe vera and almond milk to really condition and cool the skin. I find it so refreshing to spray on after going to the gym or just on a hot day. All the flavours are absolutely gorgeous, this one is a very feminine mixture of vanilla, marzipan and fresh musk.
Pros
  • Yummy everday scent.
  • Huge bottle.
  • Feels very nice and refreshing on the skin.
Cons
  • The scent doesn't linger very long
  • They are really overpriced compared to drugstore body mists.
Rating out of 10: 8

Well that's all folks, I really hope you enjoyed my September Favourites!
Have you tried any of these products? What are your favourites for this month?
Feel free to leave me any questions or comments bellow and I will get back to you as soon as I can ♥ I hope everyone has an amazing October!!
