How to NOTD: Barry M Chameleon Effects!

Hey girls! As promised, I have an in depth NOTD and tutorial on the new BarryM Chameleon Effects Nail Paints, for you today. I chose to do a sort of half and half design and I will be showing you step by step exactly how to recreate this.
These nail polishes basically change colour when you paint on top of them with a clear polish. So that you can easily create so many different designs. I think these are really cool and I was so excited to try them. I've never seen any other nail polishes like this before and it sort of reminded me of those colour changing felt pens I used to get when I was little.
I used the lilac shade. It is pale and silvery but changes to a darker, indigo, purple. They are also available in pink and blue shades. As you will see the application process is quick and simple. To make it even easier I would recommend using the BarryM clear nail polish or one a with a similar thin brush. The only thing that I don't particularly like is the fact that all of the shades are metallic and not very summery. I would have preferred a wider variety of shades with different finishes.
Overall I do really like these nail polishes and I would give them a 9/10! They are available in Superdrug stores and online for £3.99.

What I used:

  • Collection 2000 Nail Care- 2 in 1 Base Coat
  • BarryM Nail Paint- 332 Chameleon Lilac
  • Barry M Nail Paint- 54 Clear
Always start with a base coat to protect your nails.

Paint your nail as normal and wait for them to dry.

Repeat Step 2 for a second coat.

Using a clear nail polish, vertically paint half of your nail. (I did this freehand but you could use tape to be more precise)
Repeat Step 4 on all of your nails.

I hope this was helpful, feel free to leave me any questions or comments and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

8 Most Worn Things: TAG!!

Hey everyone!
Today I was in the mood to do a tag! These are probably my favourite kind of posts because they are always good fun. As you can tell by the title, I decided  to do the '8 Most Worn Things Tag'. This tag is actually very old and some of you might not have heard of it. I remember it going around quite a few years ago. I think this is a great way to get to know someone's style and their all time favourites. I would love if you could do it too so I will be tagging a load of people at the end! The title is quite self explanatory so I am just going to get started.

1.Most worn lipstick/lipgloss?
Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick
-006 Pink Blush
This is a really pretty, light pink shade which I absolutely adore. I think it goes great with a neutral makeup look. It was very cheap and I am actually on my second tube.

2.Most worn earrings?

To be honest, I don't really bother with earrings anymore. So I am going to be boring and go with this simple pair of gold, diamante, studs. I got them years ago from a local jewelers and they are by far my most worn.

3.Most worn top?
Pull&Bear Slouchy Red Top
I was going to go with one of my Jack Wills hoodies but I don't think they count. So I went with this top that wear all the time. I actually got it from a shop called Pull&Bear when I was in Spain last year. It is very vintage looking and I love the message(Rule No 2 Miracles HAPPEN NEVER GIVE UP)! I also love that it is so easy to throw on with a pair of leggings and a belt.

4.Most worn nail polish?
BarryM -Blue Moon
MissSporty -330
Recently, I have been loving my blues and greens. So it is between this BarryM Nail Paint and this MissSporty Quick Dry Nail Polish. Literally every time I go to paint my nails I want to use one of these. Blue Moon is a pretty, pale blue and 330 is a gorgeous metallic mint(it is showing up as more of a turquoise on camera).

5.Most worn shoes?
White AllStar Converse
These are a basic for me and I think every girl should own a pair. The white is guaranteed to match absolutely anything you want to wear. I agree that they are not the most glamorous shoes in the world but they are so cute, comfortable and casual.

6.Most worn hair product?
Batiste Dry Shampoo
This is an essential hair product for me. I repurchase it at least once a month and this is my favourite flavour. It smells like yummy coconuts!

7.Most worn perfume?
Avon Little Black Dress Pefume
I received this as a gift over a year ago and it is probably my all time favourite perfume! It is a classic for day and night, with oriental and floral notes of sweet fruits and rich woods (apparently).

8.Most worn bag/purse?
New Look Floral Purse
It's not news that I am obsessed with floral print, so this purse is perfect for me! I think it was £5.99 and I have used it as my everyday purse for about a year now. It is very sturdy and just adorable!

I TAG... to do this!
and YOU! (sorry if I missed out anyone)

I really hope you can do this tag too :D

BIG Birthday Beauty Haul!

Hello guys :) I may have had a little makeup splurge with my extra Birthday money but I wanted to treat myself. I have also accumulated a few other bits along the way so I thought I should show you everything I got!

Benefit Products - £52.50
First stop was the Benefit Counter and I was really only planning on getting one thing but the lady convinced me to spend over £50.. They had a spend £50 and get £10 off deal which I couldn't resist. I figured I might as well just stock up now as I had been meaning to try these products for ages. It actually should have been £62.50 and I saved a tenner, not bad.. right?
They're Real! -£18.50

Cha Cha Tint- £24.50

Erase Paste- £19.50

Skincare Samples

I was so excited to try the new BarryM Chameleon Collection so I rushed to Superdrug to get my hands on a bottle. If you haven't heard about them, they basically change colour when you paint over top and you can easily make some really cool designs. I decided to get the lilac colour which changes to silver. The sales assistant told me it works best with the BarryM Clear Topcoat so I picked that up as well. (I will no doubt have a NOTD post going into more detail about these).
BarryM Nail Paints -£2.99 each
I also managed to spot this gorgeous teal shade from the regular line. There was a multi-buy offer on BarryM so I saved an extra £1!

Hair Products

John Freida Frizz-Ease (Original Formula)
Hair Serum -£6.29

Aussie Take The Heat 3 Minute Miracle
Deep Conditioner -£4.99
Due to my previous straightening addiction, I am having a bit of a hair crisis with frizz and split ends at the moment. So I decided to pick these up. If any of you have any haircare tips or recommendations, I would really appreciate if you could let me know in a comment.

Natural Collection Single Eyeshadow(Crushed Walnut) -£1.79
This is a very pretty dark brown single eyeshadow. It is great for lining the eyes and it's totally amazing quality for the price.

Soap & Glory Kick Ass Concealer -£10
I thought it would be interesting to compare this to the erase paste and do some sort of comparison review post. You can let me know if you would like to see that too.

Have you tried any of these products?!

I am mainly showing the things that are somewhat fashion related and I will have a separate beauty haul coming up. Most of these were gifts chosen by various friends and family members but some are birthday shopping that I picked out with the money I was given. Disclaimer: I want to stress that I am extremely thankful for everything that I received and I was reluctant to do this haul. I am not trying to show off or offend anyone in anyway. This post was actually requested by my followers.

WORLD'S COOLEST CLEANSER?! -Clearasil PerfectaWash Review

Hey there! :)
Today I am going to be reviewing my current obsession, the Clearasil PerfectaWash Automatic Facial Wash.
After finishing my Liz Earle cleanser I didn't feel like a trip to John Lewis to get a new one. So I decided to have a look in my local Asda for something that I could use temporarily. That is when I found this baby..

I have never seen or heard of a cleanser quite like this before. It is basically a hands free automatic cleanser. I get so annoyed when I am washing my face and I reach for more product only to get the bottle all mucked up with my wet hands. This dispenser automatically gives you the perfect amount simply by placing your hand under it!! How cool is that? It can be hard to judge sometimes but this ensures you won't need to go back for more product and you won't be wasting it by taking too much. That not only makes your life easier but it also stops the spread of bacteria.

The actual cleanser is pretty good too. It claims to give you visibly clearer skin and I think it definitely made my skin clearer, smoother and squeaky clean. All though I did find the formula a little harsh and drying on my dry skin.

Ultimately, I really like this product especially the dispenser. It made my skin so much brighter and clearer. I think it would be perfect for oily and acne prone skin but if you have dry skin like me, I would recommend using a good moisturiser afterwards.

The set comes with a dispenser and one refill which apparently has 100 doses in it. It is widely available in most supermarkets as well as Boots and Superdrug. It is quite reasonably priced at £8.50 for the whole set and £4.99 for additional refills. I have it in the red 'Superfruit' flavour but it also comes in a green 'Soothing Plant' version.

Rating out of ten: I would give it an eight. I do like it and I think it is really cool but it isn't the best cleanser for my skin type.
Would I buy it again?: Yes but I would really like to try it in the 'Soothing Plant' version as I think it would be more gentle.

What are your thoughts?

Feel free to leave your reaction or any questions/comments bellow and I will get back to you ASAP :D
